DO YOU LEARN FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE?

Experiences undoubtedly, are part of life. Most times, we learn from people's experiences but do you know you can also learn from your own experience. Yes! You can and you should.

When we go through experiences, we only feel the bad side. We don't learn from them.

There are some experiences, that happens to us so we can learn some valuable lessons and be better for it.

Some times, some of our experiences are borne out of our own mistakes and carelessness. Consequently, we suffer as a result but it shouldn't end there.

Yes, we should learn from our own experiences.

When we experience things, after the whole process of the emotions. We should proceed to know the reason for such.

If it is in the case of some mistakes or through carelessness, then there are lessons to learn.

Start by:

📍 Looking through the whole experience process again.

This time you have gone beyond that high surge of emotions and can think things thoroughly and with clear reasoning.

📍 Find out what happened that led to the mistake. Do your findings on what led to your carelessness.

📍 Then, make up your mind not to make such mistakes again.

📍 Be more conscious of your actions and your thoughts process.

📍 Don't let it break you to the extent that you find it daunting to move from it. Don't keep looking through the window of the experience.

Close that chapter, ready for the next thing ahead of you.

📍 Most importantly, whatever has happened, do not let it hold you down.

Shake it off and move on from it. Take only the lessons learnt from it with you.

Try not to let the mistake repeat itself again.  Let your experience make you better for it.

In actual sense, there is always something to see or learn from our experiences. Good or bad!

🌷STICK TO YOUR VALUE ALWAYS!🌷

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Ever come across the above saying. It is very true. Stick with me.

Ponmile is a good student. His parents taught him about the values of honesty, truthfulness and other good values. As a result, he always speaks the truth and is an honest boy. His classmate, Ojo is a boy who always take things that doesn't belong to him and tell lies.

One beautiful day, they both came across a huge sum of money lying on the ground under the mango tree in the school compound. Ojo rushed ahead to quickly pick the money as he made to put it in his pocket, he winked at Ponmile and told him to keep quiet and not let anybody know so they could share it equally.  Ponmile refused.

Ojo tried to convince him by reminding him of the Hostel's condition which was not pleasant especially the food and the comfort they could buy with the money but Ponmile stopped him and collected it from him and took it to the Principal's office, of course, Ojo was mad and rain abusive words on him. He promised to deal with Ponmile but that didn't stop him from sticking to his values.

Value here refers to how much worth we place on ourselves and how this influences our choices. They are principles and beliefs which we attach a lot of  importance and wish to keep.

Sticking to one's values helps us to resist the pressure to follow other people's values and behaviour because not all values are positive.

When we stick to our values always, it helps us to take decisions that feel right to us and become the kind of people we want to be.

Learn to say NO and learn to also accept when people say NO too.

Stick to your value always. Be focused!
